Don’t you just love thrift stores? I have to check my favorites whenever I am in the area and today I found this lily pad plate. This picture does not do it justice.
I found it online for $42.00 – I paid $3.75. Now, do I love it enough to keep it or should I try to sell it on eBay? Keep it . . . sell it . . .keep it . . .sell it? I just don’t know. I’ll have to sleep on it.

Oh that is pretty...yes, I'm a thrift store addict! It's the only way I can go 'shopping' and never feel guilty! lol:)
I know that indecision too... I have a sort of 'keep it?/sell it?' pile:)
Happy thursday Teresa!

Have a great day!

That’s a great find that makes me wish to reciprocate my find last weekend at the Goodwill 50% of Saturday sale. For $50, mind you this five times my Flinch Point, I picked up an oil portrait of a boy from 1876. The canvas needs a bit of help and is damaged in two places. My friend, who’s versed in art history, has yet to examine this to determine if it is worthy of repair. If not, I could cut out the damage because it’s on the edge of the painting.
What’s so exciting is the 24”x28” gilt frame! It’s in near perfect condition and I am dead certain it is much older than the portrait. It’s ornate and gorgeous, museum quality gorgeous. I have to laugh when I think of what kind of frame $50 buys me at a conventional retail store.
I picked up a beautiful strand of vintage pearls for $12.50 to give to my daughter as her special present on her 13th birthday.
I never met such quality until I started making about 90% of my purchases thrift. I can often pay 5% retail value on high-item items with their retail tags contrasted against the thrift price!
